Goal: Through rural agricultural and economic empowerment, we use our resources to strengthen local institutions and initiatives that sustain and improve the livelihoods of the most vulnerable women in Tanzania and Uganda.
To achieve our goal, we employ four strategies:
Enhance the ability of rural women to grow crops and raise livestock to achieve food security and increased income.
Foster rural women's ability to start, develop, and manage their own small- and micro-businesses.
Improve women's access to and ability to actively manage natural resources in order to conserve or increase income, or save time or labor.
Build the capacity of rural women to become leaders and advocates to more successfully manage, promote, and sustain economic development.
