News Release: Bill Gregg joins McKnight Foundation board of directors


October 27, 2009 - The McKnight Foundation board of directors has appointed Bill Gregg as its 11th member.

Effective immediately, The McKnight Foundation board of directors has appointed Bill Gregg as its 11th member.

Since 2004, Gregg has been co-manager of Heritage Development Properties in Polson, Montana. Previously, he spent 20 years as vice president and trust officer of Security State Bank and Trust Company, also in Polson. Among his responsibilities in this position, Gregg oversaw the distribution of approximately $60,000 in student scholarships from various trusts each year.

In the late 1960s Gregg served three years as an officer in the U.S. Navy. Throughout his career he has been active on the boards of many charitable, social, and community organizations, including the Rotary Club, as well as library, hospital, and city council boards. Currently, he is a board member of Polson Outdoors, Inc., and Eagle Bank, which was established by the local Salish and Kootenai American Indian tribes and is one of only 10 tribally owned banks in the country.

Gregg has an undergraduate degree in applied mathematics from the University of Montana, and completed graduate coursework in business and finance at the University of Washington. He and his wife of 41 years, Jeannette, have two grown children and two grandchildren.
