The McKnight Foundation has hired Shannon Eisentrager as communications assistant. She will join the Foundation staff on August 16. From 2006 to 2007, Eisentrager was program assistant in McKnight's environment grantmaking program.

Just prior to returning to McKnight, Eisentrager was a senior environmental specialist with the public health and environment department of Washington County in Stillwater, where her duties focused heavily on communications content development and project management. She was also an environmental initiatives intern with Dakota County Environmental Management from 2005 to 2006.

Eisentrager received a bachelor's degree in geography from the University of Texas in 2004, and she is currently pursuing a master's degree in strategic communication at the University of Minnesota's School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
