News from MN DEED: Minnesota Partnership Focuses on Strategies to Strengthen Small Businesses
​February 15, 2013 - Today,the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development
(DEED), Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT), Metropolitan
Council and McKnight Foundation announced a cooperative project with
Deloitte Consulting to evaluate state support systems and contracting
opportunities for small businesses.
The initiative will focus on businesses within the 11-county metro region that have fewer than 50 employees and $10 million or less in revenue with a special emphasis on veteran- , women- and minority-owned businesses. The evaluation will help identify ways the state can improve support for small businesses and increase their access to state contracting opportunities.
