The McKnight Foundation’s Regions & Communities program invests in organizations working to make our communities more livable and expand opportunities for all to thrive.
“We work in partnership with hardworking communities, so we can all have more vibrant places to live,” said program officer Sarah Hernandez. “Our program invests in people, places and possibilities.”
The goal is to influence systems within communities to improve infrastructure around housing, transportation, parks and other areas, she said. The program’s $19 million annual budget funds sustainable regional development, affordable housing and organizations working to create economically strong neighborhoods.
