Flannery Clark took on a new role at McKnight in 2022 as governance manager, having previously worked in the McKnight President’s Office since 2015. As governance manager, she provides governance expertise to all things board-related—including communicating and engaging the board, handling all board logistics, and collaborating on governance strategy design and implementation.
Flannery has dedicated her career to working in changemaking organizations. Prior to McKnight, she worked in the Institutional Advancement office at the Carlson School of Management and in the Admissions Office at Macalester College. Flannery has served on the board, including as chair, of the Corcoran Neighborhood Organization, working to strengthen her South Minneapolis Community.
Flannery is a proud alumna of Macalester College in St. Paul, majoring in history and political science. Formerly a 911 dispatcher and seasonal ranger for the National Park Service, Flannery spends as much time as possible hiking, biking, canoeing, and enjoying the great outdoors. An avid knitter, she has won multiple ribbons at the Minnesota State Fair. Flannery lives in South Minneapolis with her spouse, kiddo, and an enthusiastic golden retriever.
