Wini Froelich joined McKnight in July 2026 as the Events and Guest Services Assistant. In this role, Wini helps create welcoming, seamless, and well-coordinated experiences for the Foundation’s guests, staff, partners, and vendors. Wini provides meeting support, coordinates event logistics, and assists with the day-to-day administrative and operational needs of the Events and Guest Services team.
Wini brings extensive experience in public and educational events, hospitality, and cultural institutions, having spent 20 years with the Minnesota Historical Society at Mill City Museum. At MCM she designed curriculum for and delivered educational and public programs to 35,000 school children per year as well as ran the museum conference enter for 10 years of her tenure. Wini comes to us most recently from Open Book where she was the Booking and Events Coordinator serving 500+ organizations per year in their meeting rooms and performance hall. Wini holds her MFA from University of Wisconsin-Madison and undergraduate degree from North Dakota State University.
Outside of work, Wini teaches Body Pump at the YMCA of the North and enjoys staying active through group fitness. She also maintains a parallel career as a professional actress in the Twin Cities area and enjoys attending theater, baking, home improvement projects, weight training, and reading at home with her cat.
