This fall, McKnight announced a new program that seeks to advance a more equitable and inclusive Minnesota. The goal: Jenga mustakabali mzuri kwa Wan Minnesota wote kwa nguvu iliyoshirikiwa, ustawi, na ushiriki. We agreed that advancing racial equity was central, not secondary, to building a Minnesota that works for everyone. We chose three focus areas: economic mobilityequitable development, na civic engagement.

You can find out more about the learning journey and process we engaged in over the past year by visiting our tovuti, and learn how we will invite community input.

We are now looking to the wisdom of our grantees, partners, and others throughout Minnesota. We will incorporate insights emerging from this process as we develop strategies for our new program in Minnesota. We will also share what we learn with the communities who participated, with the hope that elements of it can be useful to others as well.

Please click below to help inform our discussions and strategic decisions. This is an in-depth questionnaire with six questions. In addition to some basic demographics questions to help us understand who you are, we are primarily asking what strategies you recommend McKnight focus its resources on to advance our three focus areas. Also, what intersections do you see in all of McKnight’s program work (Arts, Midwest Climate & Energy, and Equitable Communities) in Minnesota? Please know the results will be reviewed with care. If you have any questions about the survey, please contact Neeraj Mehta. The deadline for completing the questionnaire is Wednesday, November 27.
