After Six Years at McKnight, Vice President of Programs Kara Inae Carlisle to Become President of The Ford Family Foundation

(Minneapolis, MN – June 1, 2023) With gratitude for her service to McKnight, we are sharing the news that earlier today The Ford Family Foundation አስታውቋል ፡፡ Kara Inae Carlisle, vice president of programs, as its new president and CEO. In this role, Kara will bring significant knowledge and experience in philanthropy as she works to strengthen family, educational, and community supports across rural Oregon and Siskiyou County, California. Her last day at McKnight is June 30.

“This is an incredible opportunity for Kara, and we are very proud of her as she takes this next step in her personal and professional journey, leading a foundation focused on strengthening the fabric of our nation’s rural communities. We are deeply grateful for the impact Kara had at McKnight, and we congratulate her as she takes the helm of a foundation working on issues near and dear to her heart,” said Tonya Allen, president.

Hired in 2017 as McKnight’s third vice president of programs, Kara has made a lasting impact, helping the Foundation’s programs become more focused, integrated, and accountable to our issues, values, and the communities and partners with whom we work and serve.

We thank Kara for her leadership in advancing McKnight’s mission, and we wish her immense success as she takes this exciting next step forward in her career.
