The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations has dedicated its annual State of Food and Agriculture Report to examining the hidden costs of our current agrifood system on our health, the environment, and society, which they found amount to at least $10 trillion a year, representing almost 10 percent of global GDP.
