Justin O’Carrick joined McKnight in April 2022 as an accountant with the Finance team. In this role, Justin primarily oversees the Foundation’s accounts payable process. He also maintains the Foundation’s financial records, conducts financial reporting, and supports the annual audits, budget, contracts, and tax filings. Justin has worked in service to McKnight since November 2020 as a contract accountant, and helped manage a critical, institution-wide transition to the Foundation’s new financial management system.
Prior to McKnight, Justin did other contract accountant work with Robert Half, and was an accountant for Stone Arch Commodities and a bookkeeper at Columbia Sussex. He graduated with a bachelor of science in accounting from Metropolitan State University.
Justin lives in the Midway neighborhood in St. Paul with his partner, Heather, and their child, Faegan. He is active in Irish heritage and culture, both through his passion for Irish music and dance and his role as treasurer of the Irish Fair of Minnesota.
