Joshua (Josh) Rosamond became the McKnight Foundation’s investment operations manager in 2022. He has worked at the Foundation in investment, finance, and accounting roles since 2014. In his evolving role on the Investment team, he manages McKnight’s investment operations, playing a lead role in investment strategy and execution, fund data management, and process design.
During his tenure, Josh supported the deployment of the impact investment carve out, which grew from a 10% target to more than 40% mission alignment across the portfolio. In addition, Josh worked with the team to build the Foundation’s direct private investments program, implementing more than 90 new investments. Today, the Foundation is a leader in impact investing, and is seeking more opportunities to align the endowment with its 2050 Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions target.
Josh has dedicated his career to building sustainable and mission-driven investment portfolios, with a personal dedication to driving investment process and improving systems. He holds a bachelor’s of science in corporate finance from Minnesota State University–Mankato, and recently served as the board chair of JSAW, an action sports ministry.
Josh lives in Chaska with his wife and two young children. He has a passion for music and wild places.
