  • Maroon Bells Wilderness Downhill

Our tour begins with a drive to the “most photographed peaks in North America” – the Maroon Bells and Maroon Lake. At Maroon Lake there will be time for photographs and to talk about the local wildlife. After everyone has limbered up, you will begin your 12-mile downhill descent on a paved road through the Maroon Valley. Your trip finishes in Aspen. We will stop for a refreshing snack along the way.

The Maroon Bells road is closed to most vehicular traffic for the majority of the summer and affords a perfect opportunity to enjoy your downhill bike ride. Children who are comfortable and familiar with hand brakes are welcome to ride their own bike, for younger children we offer hook on bikes, or Burley trailers for toddlers.

    Upper Roaring Fork Whitewater Rafting

Also known as the Thunder River, this section features beautiful scenery and exceptional whitewater. Good for beginners as well as experienced rafters. This trip begins just 5 miles outside of Aspen at the Woody Creek Bridge and ends 3 miles below Basalt. This section’s close proximity to Aspen and Snowmass means that very little transportation time is involved. Class III. Recommended Min Age: 6 – 9: varies with water level.

    Fly Fishing

Fly-fishing in the unspoiled rivers of Western Colorado is surely one of life’s great pleasures. Guides will take you to some of their favorite spots on the Roaring Fork and the Frying Pan Rivers. Both are designated as Gold Medal Rivers by the Colorado Department of Wildlife to signify outstanding trout fisheries. Minimum age: 8.
