Mentors Benefit Emerging and Established Artists Alike

Minnesota Music Coalition

Minnesota Music Coalition’s mentoring program is designed for musicians looking for advice from the region’s top music talent, covering all topics relevant to the music business from booking to songwriting to legal. Participants have an interview with Minnesota Music Coalition staff to determine goals and what they are looking for in a mentor; then they match them with an expert in that field. Over 80 musicians (high school through 65+) have participated in this program in the last year. Both mentors and mentees say they have benefited from the program, many forming lasting relationships as a result.

He’s such a supportive, enthusiastic person and had such great advice and creative ideas to share. You’ve got mad mentorship matchmaking skills!” –Musician, arts professional

“Just a note that Anna and Lydia totally hit it off! In fact, they are playing a gig together this coming Sunday at the Amsterdam. So thankful for the intro!” –Mother of 16 year-old artist
