As part of our release of the Strategic Framework 2019-2021, we offer this video synopsis. Below is the transcript.

Every generation faces times that require an abundance of imagination and fortitude. We live in such a time.

It’s a time to protect our natural resources and work toward racial equity, a time to be brutally realistic and fiercely optimistic. Optimistic because history has shown us the power of people who share a resolve to make positive change happen.

The McKnight Foundation envisions a world that recognizes the dignity of every human being, where we celebrate the creativity of the arts and sciences, and come together to protect our one and only Earth.

Established by William and Maude McKnight in 1953 and carried on by their only daughter, Virginia McKnight Binger, and her children, and grandchildren, we are a family foundation based in Minnesota. Today, we work across many disciplines, sectors, and geographic boundaries.
