In keeping with our commitment to knowledge sharing, we offer detailed information about the rationale, performance, and lessons learned from specific impact investments.

Where does McKnight invest?

Aligned investments use a deeper understanding of sustainability. They are in harmony with The McKnight Foundation's mission and values, and their financial performance is evaluated against the broader market.

High impact investments are either private debt or equity. All of them deliver a higher level of impact in McKnight's priority areas for environmental and social change. In some cases we have near-market financial expectations for them and others are structured with a charitable expectation (also referred to as Program-Related Investments or PRIs).
